Specter investigates BONK DAO governance attack: Realms founder suspected of being connected to attacker's fund flow

Jinse Finance reported that on-chain security investigator Specter stated in a post that a preliminary investigation into the BONK DAO governance attack revealed noteworthy on-chain associations: both the Realms founder and Crypto Notte were found to have on-chain fund exposure to addresses linked to the suspected attacker.

Specter pointed out that the attacker created a malicious governance proposal on June 30, 2026, via a certain address. This proposal required voting power equivalent to 1% of BONK's circulating supply to pass. Subsequently, between July 4 and July 5, the attacker obtained the necessary voting power through exchange purchases and borrowing on marginfi, with the borrowing amount being approximately $4 million.
