CoinWorld news, Wu learns that the Zcash development team stated that it plans to introduce formal verification through the upcoming new privacy pool, Ironwood, to mathematically prove and eliminate the risk of "undetectable counterfeiting." The team stated that although the vulnerability in the previous Orchard shielded pool has been fixed and there is currently no evidence of it being exploited, since it is theoretically impossible to confirm whether hidden counterfeiting has occurred through on-chain history, the community has decided to launch a new Ironwood shielded pool and conduct comprehensive formal verification of its protocol.
