Golden Finance reported that on July 7, local time on the 6th, U.S. President Trump said at an event that resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict would be “much faster than people think.” On the same day, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov responded, saying that if the United States is prepared to take action based on the proposals put forward by the Russian side, the conflict could indeed be resolved very quickly. The recent words and actions from the U.S. side indicate that they are inclined to abandon resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict through peaceful negotiations and seeking compromises. Countries that oppose a peaceful resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict are trying to take advantage of this, and the leaders of the UK, France, and Germany, along with NATO and the EU, are seeking to draw the United States in, which has intensified tensions surrounding the conflict. Ryabkov also said that even so, under no circumstances would Russia interrupt contacts with the United States on the issue of Ukraine. The working-level dialogue between Russia and the United States is almost “taking place every day,” and the two presidents also maintain communication.
