Jinse Finance reported that on July 7, Citigroup poached JPMorgan credit rating advisor Anuja Desai, as the bank has recently been recruiting a series of senior bankers from competitors. According to an internal memo seen by the media, Desai will join Citigroup in late September as Managing Director and Head of Rating Advisory, based in New York. She will advise global clients on rating strategies and work closely with various teams within the bank's investment banking business. Desai will report to David Friedland, who is Co-Head of North America Investment Banking. Desai has been a Managing Director in JPMorgan's rating advisory business since 2022. A Citigroup representative confirmed the contents of the memo.
