Today's ETH (Daily Update)

ETH Current Price: $1,778

Directional Bias: Consolidation (Slightly Bullish 55%)

Short-term Support: 1,760

Strong Support: 1,735

First Resistance: 1,805

Second Resistance: 1,840

Core Today: Is the area around 1,778 simply exchanging hands, or is it gathering momentum to break 1,800?

Today, ETH is not as strong as BTC, but it's also not as weak as one might imagine.

I've been watching the 1,778 level for a long time.

If you only look at the candlesticks, you'd think today is boring—just oscillating around $1,800.

But if you watch the order book, you'll see that what's really happening today isn't up or down—it's a handover.

Every time it drops to around 1,760, buying quickly steps in; every time it approaches $1,800, a wave of active sell orders appears above.

This shows that the market hasn't formed a consensus expectation.

Bulls think they can push higher from here.

Bears think it's worth taking profits around 1,800.

So today's real market action isn't about who won, but that nobody won.

That's also why I haven't chased any positions today.

Many people see ETH recovering for a few consecutive days and start talking about altcoin season.

I still hold the same view.

It's still too early to talk about altcoin season.

Because for ETH to truly turn strong, it's not about standing above $1,800—it's about, after standing above $1,800, BTC consolidates while ETH continues to move higher.

These are two completely different concepts.

There's another detail worth noting today.

Although the ETH/BTC exchange rate hasn't continued to weaken, it hasn't noticeably risen either.

This means that capital is still revolving around BTC trading; ETH is only starting to get a bit of incremental attention, and hasn't yet become the new market narrative.

So today, I won't change my rhythm just because of the $1,778 level.

For tonight's European and US session, I lean toward one scenario.

If ETH can break above $1,805 with volume and hold above it for more than an hour, I believe there's a chance to challenge $1,840 in the short term, and market sentiment will further improve.

But if the break above $1,805 fails again and the price falls back below $1,760, then I'll consider this still a range-bound consolidation, and short-term funds will continue to oscillate between $1,760 and $1,805.

My trading plan today.

At $1,778, I won't chase.

If I already have a position, I'll continue to hold.

If I have no position, I'd rather wait for a confirmed breakout above $1,805 with volume, or wait for a re-entry signal around $1,760, before considering entering.

The most important thing now is not to predict the direction, but to let the market reveal it.

From the trading room:

The real opportunity is not when everyone sees the breakout, but after the breakout, whether the market is willing to prove it to you with volume.
