Spider unveils Ryu Hyun-jin's 200-win commemorative player brand collection.

Sports brand Spider is strengthening its sports marketing by launching a special collection commemorating Hanwha Eagles pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin's milestone of 200 career wins across Korea and the United States.

Ryu achieved the 200-win milestone on May 24, winning a home game against the Doosan Bears, combining 122 wins in the KBO League and 78 wins in Major League Baseball. This accomplishment came 20 years after his debut in 2006, making him only the second Korean pitcher in history to reach this record. His team, the Hanwha Eagles, planned this project to share the historic moment with fans, and Spider participated as the production partner.

The collection consists of four items: a uniform, a varsity jacket, a short-sleeved polo shirt, and a ball cap. All products feature the newly renewed 'Ryu Hyun-jin Player Brand BI', enhancing their collectible value. The new BI is designed based on a classic serif typeface, visually embodying the stability and authority Ryu displays on the mound.

Spider focused on embodying the legendary pitcher's profound career through bold strokes and balanced letterforms. In particular, the varsity jacket and uniform feature design elements symbolizing the journey to 200 wins, likely stimulating fans' desire to purchase.

Sales strictly follow a limited-edition principle. Pre-orders will only be available for six days, from July 10 to 15, on Spider's official online mall. After the pre-order period ends, no additional production will occur, maximizing scarcity.

The connection to social contribution activities is also notable. Spider has decided to donate part of the sales proceeds from this collection to the Ryu Hyun-jin Foundation. The donations will be used to support youth baseball prospects, in line with Ryu's long-standing interest in nurturing future generations.

A Spider representative stated, "Ryu Hyun-jin's 200 wins are a monumental event in Korean baseball history," adding, "We put great effort into quality and design so that fans can cherish the emotion for a long time." He continued, "As the proceeds will go toward youth baseball development, we look forward to the participation of many fans."
