A benefactor is not forgetful of things, a benefactor is forgetful of "you"
2 vivid examples
1. You were at a dead end, and through a friend's introduction, you met a "benefactor". The benefactor brought you into a project, requiring no capital from you. You earned 100k from arbitrage. The benefactor said nothing. You gave the benefactor 10k. Later, the benefactor remained the benefactor, but no longer introduced any projects to you. You earned 90k. You felt "cold-shouldered" and "forgotten", but you still knew each other. However, you started frequently backbiting and sarcastically saying that the benefactor is forgetful...
2. You were at a dead end, and through a friend's introduction, you met a "benefactor". The benefactor brought you into a project, requiring no capital from you. You earned 100k from arbitrage. The benefactor said nothing. You directly gave the benefactor 90k. Later, the benefactor remained the benefactor, but no longer introduced any projects to you. You only earned 10k. You felt "cold-shouldered" and "forgotten", but you still knew each other. Later, you often said behind the benefactor's back that the benefactor was too greedy.
Do you understand? If you don't, take a closer look.
The failure of case 1 lies in excessive greed; the failure of case 2 lies in giving too much, which scared the other person.
The cases are condensed and extreme. So what is the most common thing online?
Some big shot posted his annual income. In the comments, a bunch of people say, "Big bro, take me under your wing, once I make money I'll give you this much..." Does that look familiar? 😂
A benefactor may not necessarily help you make money directly. The mindset of guiding money-making with profit-sharing as the focus is the direct reason why many people never encounter a benefactor in their lifetime. It's not that they haven't met one; they met one but missed it.
A benefactor is someone who knows what you don't know and can tell you a piece of information that has a high certainty of making money. That is a benefactor.
Rather than someone who knows nothing, contributes nothing, just uses their mouth, running around, and expects to take a large share of the profit, and then from the original profit, takes a portion as proof of being "grateful" and worthy of continued guidance.
Therefore, comments left under a big shot's post that say, "Big bro take me under your wing, once I make money I'll do this and that," will never be replied to by the big shot. 😂
