Samsung surpasses Nvidia, becoming the world's most profitable company.
Mars Finance News, according to Gelonghui, Samsung Electronics disclosed in its preliminary earnings report that its operating profit for April to June this year is expected to reach 89.4 trillion Korean won, or approximately $58.4 billion, setting a new quarterly historical record. This represents a 56% quarter-on-quarter increase compared with the previous quarter and is higher than analysts’ earlier average expectation of 84.2 trillion Korean won.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics’ revenue for the same period is expected to reach 171 trillion Korean won, exceeding the market’s estimate of 169.2 trillion Korean won, and increasing by about 129% year-on-year. The company plans to release its full financial report on July 30, at which time it will disclose net profit and data categorized by each business segment.
The report says Samsung Electronics’ quarterly operating profit has surpassed Nvidia, making it the global company with the highest quarterly operating profit.
