BlockBeats news, July 7 — According to official sources, Sign and Bhutan NDI, a subsidiary of Druk Holding & Investment (DHI), Bhutan’s sovereign wealth fund, have officially reached a cooperation agreement. Together, they will help governments around the world build a secure, inclusive, and interoperable sovereign digital identity and verifiable credentials (Verifiable Credentials) system.

Previously reported: On June 18, SIGN Foundation, Bhutan NDI, and the Ministry of Communications, Technology and Innovation (MoCTI) of Sierra Leone jointly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly design, develop, and implement Sierra Leone’s national digital identity platform. The platform is built on open-source technologies and verifiable credentials that comply with W3C standards, enabling citizens to securely prove and manage their own identities while upholding high standards of privacy, security, and data sovereignty.
