The on-chain burning of GateToken (GT) for the second quarter of 2026 has been officially completed. According to official data, the details of this burn are as follows:
Burn quantity and value: A total of 2,570,063.3829548 GT were transferred to the burn address, with a burn value exceeding $17.75 million (approximately $17.43 million).
Cumulative burn in 2026: Combined with the first quarter burn, the total cumulative burn for the first three quarters of 2026 is approximately 7.29 million GT, with a total value exceeding $58.5 million.
Historical cumulative burn: Since the launch of the Gate Chain mainnet in 2019, GT has maintained a continuous burn mechanism. As of now, approximately 189.9 million GT have been burned cumulatively, with a total burn value exceeding $1.31B.
Change in total token supply: Through sustained deflationary burning, the total supply of GT has been significantly reduced by approximately 63.32% from the initial 300 million tokens.
