Michael Burry Targets Micron Technology with Short Position at $1051.87

On July 3, Michael Burry, the archetype of the 'Big Short', announced today that he targeted a short position on Micron Technology at $1051.87 on Wednesday. Although the stock has already declined significantly, he believes he has a clear understanding of the ultimate outcome in such situations. Additionally, he has increased five other short positions. Reports from yesterday indicated that Burry has recently further expanded his short positions in the AI sector, targeting companies including Tesla, Applied Materials, Caterpillar, and the semiconductor ETF SOXX. Burry stated that South Korea's recent announcement of a large-scale investment plan to build a chip industry cluster marks the 'beginning of the end' for the AI boom, and he questioned whether the continuously expanding capital expenditures can yield corresponding returns. Burry also maintains a bearish stance on Nvidia, betting on SOXX's decline through put options. He previously predicted that the stock prices of Nvidia and Palantir Technologies would experience significant corrections in the coming years, believing that the current valuations in the AI sector carry bubble risks.
