Shenchao TechFlow News, July 7 – According to Cointelegraph, former Tether Chief Investment Officer Richard Heathcote is seeking to sell a portion of his stake in the stablecoin issuer, which represents 1.26% of total equity. Heathcote stepped down as CIO in March to take on an advisory role, having previously overseen the stablecoin issuer's investment portfolio. This transaction involves only part of his holdings.

Tether's USDT is the world's largest stablecoin, with a circulating supply of approximately $184 billion, accounting for about 59% of the stablecoin market. Tether remains privately held with no current plans for an initial public offering, and this equity sale may provide a rare glimpse into the company's ownership structure. Meanwhile, Tether is facing regulatory pressure in Europe, as USDT has been delisted from multiple platforms for non-compliance with the MiCA framework.
