After 28 years on this earth, I start to recognize when a revolution transforms into an echo chamber.

For the past 8 months, I stood firmly in the Michael Saylor camp. I championed the laser-eye conviction. I watched the $ flow into the MicroStrategy treasury and thought this was the institutional adoption we had been waiting for. I defended the aggressive accumulation strategy, believing it was the ultimate chess move against fiat depreciation.
But a profound disappointment settles in when you realize the space you have poured your soul into has reduced its entire intellectual capacity to cheerleading 1 man’s corporate treasury strategy.
I did not spend countless nights mapping out the architecture of Web4 and the autonomous intelligence economy just to watch the industry devolve into an obsessive cult of personality. When I stood on stage in Dubai last December, holding that Blockchain 100 trophy, I genuinely believed we were building a decentralized future. We were supposed to be the architects of a trustless system, not the disciples of a 100% centralized accumulation game.
Saylor is brilliant, without a doubt. But the space has lost its plot. We have traded the cypherpunk ethos for corporate worship. The relentless mandate to just "buy the dip" while a single entity absorbs every $ in sight is not a decentralized economy. It is a monopoly dressed up in a blockchain. I have advocated for this industry at the highest levels, trying to legitimize our infrastructure. But how do you advocate for an industry that has willingly outsourced its critical thinking and market dynamics to 1 CEO's X feed?
When the measure of success in Web3 shifts from deploying autonomous agents and building resilient infrastructure to simply watching 1 corporation pump its stock premium via Bitcoin acquisition, the vision is dead.
So, I am making the 1 decision that feels authentic right now. I am stepping away from the crypto space today. It is a 180-degree turn from where I thought I would be, but my conviction in building a genuinely autonomous future remains intact. Unfortunately, that future is not being built here anymore. It is time to find the next frontier, 1 that is not measured entirely by how many coins are locked in a corporate vault.
Good night. Will troll him again tomorrow.
