If you’re handed a big market move directly, without a mature system you can’t handle it.

You have to go through consecutive losses, false signals, shakeouts, see through human nature in the charts, grind away your luck and arrogance, and tear apart your naive get-rich-quick fantasies.
Without the market beating you down, you can’t see the blind spots in your own cognition. When the trend comes, you’ll just make a little and then lose it all back.
Review your trades often, reflect on yourself often—observe cycles, observe capital flows, observe your inner demons. Only when your cognition fully awakens and risk management is carved into your bones will consistent profitability truly arrive.
The essence of profit is a complete trading structure; a solid framework can carry the profits. If the system is incomplete, no amount of market moves will amount to anything in the end.

The eight characters “complete trading structure” are worth printing and posting on the wall—if the framework isn’t stable, you really can’t catch big market moves.

The phrase "Observing the Heart Demon" really hit me; every time I get liquidated, it's because my emotions are out of control, not a technical issue.

Too true. Last bull run, I was exactly like that—made gains then gave them all back. Only now do I realize that a system is a hundred times more important than the market trend.

The part about consecutive losses gave me goosebumps. I'm going through this phase now, feeling like I'm about to have an epiphany.
