BlockBeats news, July 6th — SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell announced on Monday that she and her husband will donate 2 million shares of SpaceX stock to the "Trump Account" program, targeting over 2 million American children with one share each. At the current stock price of approximately $160 per share, the total value is about $320 million. This move comes just days after Trump publicly predicted that "SpaceX will participate in the program." She stated that the donation targets children aged 11 to 17 from low-income families, with a focus on recipients near her home in central Texas.

Earlier, Michael Dell and his wife pledged a donation of $6.25 billion, and Micron Technology pledged $250 million; BlackRock, Intel, JPMorgan Chase, and others expressed intentions to match donations at a standard of $1,000.

Trump previously said in a CNBC interview that he expects Musk will also donate SpaceX stock, "I think he will do it," but Musk has not publicly responded as of now. Trump also said his relationship with Musk remains solid, describing previous differences as "just a little friction."
