US stock market trend丨Dow rises over 100 points in early session

U.S. stocks resumed trading after the holiday, with the Dow rising over 100 points in early trading.

As of 9:35 p.m. Hong Kong time, the Dow stood at 53,031 points, up 131 points or 0.25%; the S&P 500 was at 7,518 points, up 34 points or 0.47%; the Nasdaq was at 26,043 points, up 215 points or 0.83%.

Oil prices fell, with New York crude futures currently at $68.64 per barrel, down $0.05 or 0.07%; London Brent crude was at $72.1 per barrel, down $0.02 or 0.03%.
