The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority officially launched its first major promotional campaign in Southeast Asia, "WestK in Bangkok," today. The event, taking place from the 6th to the 12th of this month, includes a tourism industry luncheon, a business networking dinner, and a cross-boundary collaboration with Thai heartthrob Butterbear at Siam Paragon, a renowned shopping and leisure center in Bangkok, aiming to promote the brand story of the West Kowloon Cultural District to the Thai audience.

Bernard Charnwut Chan, Chairman of the Board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, expressed that through "WestK in Bangkok," they hope to showcase the grand vision of the West Kowloon Cultural District as a world-class international cultural exchange platform and cultural tourism destination. Adjacent to the High Speed Rail West Kowloon Station and the Airport Express Kowloon Station, the district boasts over 500k square meters of commercial space and aims to become Hong Kong's "Cultural Central Business District (Cultural CBD)." Additionally, the first public-private partnership project of the district—the Art Plaza Tower, with a total gross floor area of approximately 65k square meters—is expected to be completed in the 2027-28 fiscal year. Through a series of events in Bangkok, the Authority hopes to showcase the commercial opportunities of the West Kowloon Cultural District to Thai investors, inviting them to participate in the development of one of the world's largest cultural hubs.

During the "WestK in Bangkok" event, the Authority will promote the rich and diverse cultural activities of the West Kowloon Cultural District to the Thai audience. Betty Fung Ching Suk-yee, Chief Executive Officer of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, pointed out that as a world-class cultural hub, the West Kowloon Cultural District is not only rooted in Hong Kong but also reaches out to audiences in Greater China, Asia, and the world. Through unique activities that integrate art and cultural elements, visitors can embark on a distinctive cultural journey in the district. Moreover, as a new cultural tourism landmark, West Kowloon not only offers rich artistic experiences but also holds diverse investment and business opportunities.

She further stated that she is delighted to showcase the vitality and diverse charm of Hong Kong's cultural landscape to the Thai audience, fostering deeper exchanges and connections between the tourism, cultural, and business sectors. She also welcomed more Thai tourists to visit West Kowloon and personally experience this world-class cultural landmark that brings together art, culture, and opportunities.
