Deep Tide TechFlow news, July 6, according to Cointelegraph, UK Reform Party leader Nigel Farage was revealed by The Sunday Times to have received undisclosed gifts such as staff, security, transportation, and accommodation from cryptocurrency scammer George Cottrell before being elected as an MP in July 2024.

Cottrell is associated with the offshore cryptocurrency casino Tether.bet, which uses the stablecoin Tether (USDt). In 2016, he was indicted in the U.S. on 21 counts of money laundering and later pleaded guilty, serving 8 months in prison. Farage responded that he "followed the rules" and accused the report of being a "smear." This is the second time Farage has faced questions about undisclosed gifts from cryptocurrency-related individuals. The parliamentary standards watchdog is investigating whether he failed to declare a 5 million pound (approximately $6.7 million) gift from cryptocurrency billionaire Christopher Harborne.
