According to Block Media, on July 6, the Korea Broadcasting and Communications Review and Examination Commission said that it will give Polymarket an opportunity to submit a statement of its views before deciding whether to require corrective action, to confirm its operating practices and illegality. The commission said that, given allegations that Polymarket is similar to speculative gambling, it will decide whether to require corrective action after reviewing the opinions and materials submitted by the platform. In addition to administrative review, Polymarket is also facing an investigation by South Korean authorities over suspected illegal gambling.

Saying it's giving a chance to speak, but the outcome is probably already decided, right? The regulatory environment for prediction markets in Asia has always been unfriendly.

This committee move is pretty classic: first it makes you prove you’re innocent, and only then decides whether you need to undertake rectification. As for the procedure itself, it’s carried out pretty steadily.
