PUMP: Approximately $125 million unlocked, the largest amount this week.
HYPE: Approximately $30.9 million unlocked, already completed today.
APT: Approximately $6.9 million unlocked.
Additionally, projects like RED, MOVE, LINEA, IO have unlocks coming up.
If these new tokens primarily flow to investment institutions, teams, or early investors, and market buying power is insufficient, it may put some downward pressure on prices.
However, if the market has already priced this in, or if the project chooses to continue locking tokens or sell in batches, the actual impact may be far lower than expected.
Phenomenon
When everyone fears an unlock, prices often adjust in advance;
On the actual unlock day, there may not be much fluctuation instead.
Therefore, I pay more attention to two signals:
1. Whether trading volume has significantly increased after the unlock;
2. In the days following the unlock, whether on-chain addresses have been continuously transferring tokens to exchanges.
If there is no sustained selling pressure, it means the market has already digested those tokens.
