Odaily Planet Daily News Focaldata's latest poll indicates that a majority of U.S. voters believe the Trump administration's military actions in Iran are "not worth the cost." The survey was conducted from June 26 to 30, covering 1,795 registered voters, with a margin of error of ±2.7%.

The data shows that 58% of respondents think the current cost of this war is not worthwhile. Meanwhile, 44% of voters believe the conflict has left the U.S. in a weaker position in its relationship with Iran, while only 31% think the U.S. has gained an advantage as a result.

Regarding the so-called "memorandum of understanding" between Washington and Tehran, the poll shows voters are generally skeptical. About 66% of respondents believe the agreement has little to no effect on improving peace and stability in the Middle East, and may even increase instability or conflict risk; only about 20% think it helps achieve peace.

The poll shows that only 36% of voters approve of Trump's job performance, down 2 percentage points from the previous month. Among independent voters, approval fell to 21%, a drop of 8 percentage points month-over-month, a more significant decline.

This trend puts pressure on the Republican Party ahead of the upcoming November 2026 midterm elections. In the survey, 44% of respondents said they would support Democratic candidates in congressional elections, 6 percentage points higher than the 38% who support Republicans; a month earlier, the Democratic lead was 4 percentage points.
