BlockBeats News, July 6 – The target of signing the CLARITY Act by July 4 has been missed, and the window for passage before the midterm elections is rapidly narrowing. Although much of the Senate's work can proceed behind the scenes during the summer recess, the House process is currently stalled.

Negotiators remain optimistic about passing the bill within 2026, but key coordination must be completed before the Senate recess on August 7. If the bill fails to pass before the midterm elections, and if Democrats take control of Congress after the election, they will likely demand significant revisions to the legislation.
