Abstract generation in progress
“The demand for high-end electronic cloth-specific air-jet looms is exceptionally hot right now. Japan’s Toyota weaving machines account for more than 90% of the global market share. If you place an order for Toyota weaving machines now, delivery is expected only in 2029,” a practitioner in the upstream electronic cloth industry told reporters. If PCB (printed circuit board) is the “nervous system” of electronic components such as AI chips, then electronic cloth is the “skeleton” that provides strength to the PCB. A research report from Soochow Securities Institute says that three materials—copper foil, electronic cloth, and resin—jointly form the physical foundation of PCBs. Among them, electronic cloth is woven from ultra-fine glass fibers and mainly provides mechanical strength and rigidity to the circuit board, preventing the PCB from bending or deforming. In recent times, with downstream AI demand surging, the prices of electronic cloth in the domestic market—mainstream product models G75 and 7628—have risen again, with gains that are clearly noticeable. Data from Zhuochuang Information shows that at the beginning of the month, the average increase in electronic yarn prices was 2,500 yuan/ton; the price of electronic cloth increased by around 1.2 yuan/meter. Prices of fine yarn and ultra-fine yarn also saw notable increases. At this stage, the current imbalance between supply and demand is unlikely to be eased soon, and the tight availability of electronic cloth will continue. (People’s Finance News)
