Strategy (Strategy) CEO Phong Le referred to Bitcoin (BTC) as "the America of money," and according to on-chain tracking firm Arkham, his approximately $1 million bet on the company's Stretch preferred shares (STRC) has returned to breakeven. According to BeInCrypto, a June 22 filing showed that Le purchased 11,000 shares of STRC at a weighted average price of $90.80 through his family trust, below the stock's stated $100 par value, and stated that he would hold the shares until they reached par value.

To maintain the 1:1 peg of the preferred shares, Strategy raised STRC's annual dividend from 9% to 12% at its debut in July 2025; meanwhile, the asset portfolio value of the preferred shares exceeds $13 billion. Le operates Strategy, which is the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, holding 818,334 BTC.
