TechFlow message, on July 05, the China Payment and Clearing Association issued a risk warning to help prevent cross-border gambling scams involving virtual currency top-ups, aiming to help the general public enhance their awareness of anti-fraud and anti-gambling and their ability to identify and avoid scams. The China Payment and Clearing Association reminds that cross-border gambling is “ten bets and ten losses”; taking part in gambling via virtual currencies has stronger concealment and greater risk. Participating in gambling and providing funding settlement for gambling activities are illegal and non-compliant acts. Do not participate in virtual currency gambling transactions, keep the bottom line of fund safety, don’t be swayed by petty gains, don’t disclose personal information to strangers, don’t rent or lend your personal bank account, don’t help others transfer funds, and guard against the risks of cross-border gambling involving virtual currencies.
