I met a guy years ago who entered the crypto space two years before me. His account now sits solidly at eight figures.

He barely speaks in the group chat, and when he does, it's brief and to the point.
At a $TAIKO offline dinner, I asked him what kept him going all this time. He replied: 'Be cautious, wait, cut losses, follow trends, don't be greedy, don't rush.'
Seeing my confusion, he broke them down one by one: 'Be cautious — no matter how high the certainty, always keep leveraged positions low. Ten correct calls can't offset one wrong one; stability lets you survive.'
'Wait — no matter how deep the drop, don't try to catch the falling knife. Only act when the trend is clear and the pullback is confirmed, only trading setups you fully understand.'
'Cut losses — set a strict stop-loss and exit on time, not a second later. Even if you cut wrong and re-enter later, never develop the habit of holding losing positions — one mistake can wipe out your account.'
'Follow trends — stick to them firmly. Without a top signal, hold steady and don't speculate wildly.'
'Don't be greedy — no matter how crazy a shitcoin pumps, don't touch it. If it's clearly a dump scheme, anyone rushing in is just cannon fodder.'
'Don't rush — when certainty isn't there, just stay in cash. Sometimes you only make one or two trades a month.'
He said that over the years, it wasn't about how many trades he got right, but that he never stepped into any of the fatal pitfalls.
Later I came to understand: those who truly survive long in crypto don't have any secret moves — they've all etched these six words into their bones.

I've seen too many smart people die from greed and impatience; those who can stay empty for a month waiting for certainty are the real tough ones.

This guy really gets it. Those six words are all lessons carved out of blood and tears. I still can’t control my drawdowns properly right now—I need to drill it relentlessly.
