What AI truly lacks is not electricity, but a stable 24/7 power supply. Wind and solar power depend on the weather, and data centers cannot afford downtime. That's why natural gas is being brought back into the picture. The U.S. is stepping up natural gas power generation projects, South Korea is expanding power infrastructure for chips and AI, and Japan, Germany, and Vietnam are also reconsidering the importance of natural gas. This shows one thing: AI infrastructure isn't just about buying GPUs—the real bottleneck down the road could be electricity.
