Russia and Ukraine launch large-scale attacks on each other
According to reports from Russia and Ukraine, local time between the night of the 3rd and the early morning of the 4th, both sides launched large-scale attacks against each other's targets.
The Russian Ministry of Defense stated in a statement on the 4th that over the past 24 hours, Russian forces attacked fuel, energy, and transportation infrastructure of the Ukrainian military in 142 areas, as well as long-range drone production and storage facilities, and struck temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian troops and foreign mercenaries. In addition, Russian forces also took control of four more settlements in the Kharkiv region.
Alexander Shuvalov, the acting governor of Russia's Belgorod region, said on social media on the 4th that from the night of the 3rd to the early morning of the 4th, the Ukrainian military launched the largest attack on the region's infrastructure since the start of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, causing power and water supply interruptions in the regional capital Belgorod, but no casualties were reported.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the 4th that from the night of the 3rd to the 4th, a total of 268 clashes were recorded. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian forces struck three Russian command posts, five drone command posts, and others. Two Russian missiles and 17 drones hit 16 targets.
The report also stated that in the early hours of the 4th, Ukrainian defense forces shot down a Russian military helicopter over the Azov Sea. In addition, the Ukrainian military also struck a railway bridge spanning the Seversky Donets River in the Luhansk region.
