Golden Ten Data, July 5 - According to Nikkei Asia, as AI-driven demand expands from semiconductors to a wider range of electronic components, MinebeaMitsumi will invest 58 billion yen (approximately $360 million) to expand its production capacity for precision bearings used in cooling equipment and storage devices for AI data centers. The Japanese manufacturer plans to increase total bearing capacity by about 30% to more than 500 million sets per month through investments in its Southeast Asian production bases. The company plans to introduce advanced equipment that can improve production efficiency by about 60%, with construction expected to start this year and production as early as fiscal 2028.
