>> Global semiconductor prices are rising across all categories, with AI-use MLCC prices surging by up to 10x.

• Starting July 1, more than 20 companies across the global semiconductor industry began raising prices across all product categories. In particular, some AI-use MLCC specifications have seen prices jump by 3–10x. Distributors in China’s Huaqiangbei said, “Quotes can change within half a day, and in some cases prices rise 50% within just two hours.” As a result, distributors that have been building inventory are increasingly concerned they could end up holding stock bought near the peak.
• Overseas, companies including Infineon have raised prices by 10–25%, while domestic Chinese product prices have also risen by more than 15%. Infineon expects revenue from its AI power-solution business to reach €1.5 billion.
• Meanwhile, continued reductions in 8-inch wafer capacity are worsening supply shortages, supporting price increases across semiconductor components more broadly.
