According to Var-Matin, the French Gassin–Saint-Tropez gendarmerie arrested a mother and son suspected of defrauding a couple of 1.5 million euros (approximately $1.8 million) in crypto assets through a fake villa transaction. Investigators said the suspects allegedly used hidden camera glasses during a meeting in Milan to obtain the victims' wallet information and private keys and transfer the funds. The two suspects have been placed under judicial supervision and are expected to appear in court on September 1. Both denied the allegations during interrogation.
