Wu Says reports that security firm Coinspect Security has posted a series of messages stating that by analyzing cryptocurrency wallet seeds generated using insecure code since 2018, it has discovered thousands of seeds that were actually used, with approximately $3.14 million in suspected stolen funds found in related wallets just last month. Coinspect noted that some funds exhibit patterns of centralized transfers to a single address and money laundering, and one affected address transferred out an additional $2 million just hours after the alert was issued, though it is not yet certain whether this constitutes theft. Additionally, Coinspect issued a specific warning to the Chinese-speaking community, suggesting that many users whose assets remain at risk may be located in China.
