BlockBeats News, July 5th — Iranian Ambassador to China Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli stated during a media interview on July 4th in Beijing on the sidelines of the 14th World Peace Forum that Iran plans to charge service fees for passage through the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international standards.

Fazli stated that before the outbreak of the US-Israel-Iran war, passage through the Strait of Hormuz had been unimpeded. Currently, Iran is not saying it will charge (transit) fees or tariffs, but rather plans to collect service fees according to international standards to cover routine expenses such as ensuring navigational safety, navigation, and environmental protection—a practice consistent with other waterways around the world.

Regarding the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz, Fazli said that passage through the strait is gradually returning to normal, and order is being restored in the channel jointly managed by Iran and Oman.
