FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out): Seeing a big green candle and chasing highs, why do you always buy at the top?

📈 A big green candle surges upward, and the square is full of carnival shouting "bull market is here". You stare at the jumping candlesticks, your heart races, and your finger hovers over the "Buy" button...
Stop! ✋ Your current state, in trading psychology, is called FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out).
In the futures market, what is often most deadly is not a crash, but the anxiety of "everyone else is making money, only I missed the boat".
Why do you always buy at the top?
Because when a big green candle fully ignites market sentiment, it is often also the time when short-term profit-takers are ready to dump and cash out. The "breakout" you see is likely a "bull trap" deliberately painted by the whales.
How to break the FOMO demon?
1️⃣ If you missed it, you missed it: Don't try to catch every fluctuation. For the trend you didn't catch, treat it as someone else's story.
2️⃣ Turn "chasing highs" into "waiting for a pullback": A truly strong trend will always have a pullback confirmation opportunity. Better to miss the first wave than to miss the second wave with the highest certainty.
3️⃣ Soul-searching question: "Am I opening a position now because it fits my trading plan, or just because I'm afraid of missing out?" If the latter, close the software immediately.
💡 Today's golden quote: Better to miss the boat than blindly chase highs. In the futures market, survival matters most.
