"Treatise on the True Qi in High Antiquity" — The General Principle of Health Preservation

The first chapter of *The Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon* is called "Treatise on the True Qi in High Antiquity."
Why is health preservation placed as the first chapter?

Because the ancients believed, "Among matters of human life, none is greater than life and death."
"True Qi" refers to the innate primordial qi, which is kidney qi.
The core of this chapter is eight words: "Follow the patterns of yin and yang, and harmonize with the methods of cultivation."
"Follow the patterns of yin and yang" means to emulate the laws of heaven and earth's changes; "harmonize with the methods of cultivation" means to apply correct health preservation methods.

The Yellow Emperor asked Qi Bo: Why were people in high antiquity able to live a hundred years without their actions declining?
Qi Bo's answer was straightforward—because they "regulated their eating and drinking, maintained regular daily routines, and did not overexert themselves."

Three meals with discipline, a consistent sleep schedule, and no excessive fatigue—this seems simple, but those who can achieve it are very few.

Watching the charts at 3 a.m. really harms kidney energy; it's time to switch from candlestick charts to the Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon.

Moderation in eating and drinking—refers to after liquidation, not eating instant noodles, but switching to goji berries.
