Golden Finance reported on July 5 that during an interview with media on July 4 at the 14th World Peace Forum in Beijing, Iranian Ambassador to China Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli stated that Iran plans to charge service fees for navigation through the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international standards. Fazli said that before the outbreak of the US-Israel-Iran war, navigation through the Strait of Hormuz had been unobstructed. At present, Iran has not stated that it will charge (transit) fees or tariffs, but plans to charge service fees based on international standards to cover routine expenses such as ensuring navigation safety, pilotage, and environmental protection. This practice is consistent with that of other waterways around the world. Regarding the current situation in the Strait of Hormuz, Fazli said that navigation through the strait is gradually returning to normal, and the channel jointly managed by Iran and Oman is being reordered.
