That modular blockchain stuff is all the rage in developer groups. I clicked in, took a look, and quietly backed out. It's not that I don't understand it—I just feel that chasing narratives now is like chasing hot coins; you can easily trick yourself into it.

Lately, I keep seeing on-chain data saying some whale has moved again, and the comment section is full of people yelling to follow the trade. But to be honest, building a position and hedging look too similar on-chain—both involve large amounts being transferred into contracts. You simply can't tell whether they're genuinely bullish or just afraid of getting liquidated. I followed once before, only to find out later that they were hedging, and I became the exit liquidity. Pretty dumb.

Now when I get the urge to follow, I force myself to think first: the money moved, but can I see the motive? If I can't, I just let it sit. It's not like I'll miss this one chance. I've been out in the cold wind long enough to know when to pull my neck in.
