Tim Draper responds to on-chain transfer rumors, denies moving Bitcoin, target price of $250k remains unchanged.

Mars Finance reports that Tim Draper, an early Bitcoin investor and billionaire, denied recent on-chain rumors that he transferred large amounts of Bitcoin and said he “has not moved any BTC assets.” Earlier, the blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain cited Arkham data, saying that a wallet “possibly related to Draper” sent approximately 1,000 BTC—worth about $62 million—into Coinbase Prime, sparking market attention. Arkham previously labeled the relevant address as “Tim Draper” and noted that the wallet has a long history of interaction with Coinbase Prime. However, the label was based on AI speculation with limited confidence, and the true ownership still cannot be confirmed.

Tim Draper said the related claims are untrue and reiterated his long-standing view: Bitcoin will reach a target price of $250,000 within one year. According to available information, Draper bought nearly 30,000 BTC for about $187 million in 2014, when the average price was about $632 per BTC; the holdings are now worth about $1.9 billion, making him one of the best-known institutional investors in Bitcoin in its early days. Meanwhile, Draper’s $250,000 target price has been reiterated multiple times since 2018, but the timeline has continued to be pushed back, while Bitcoin’s recent high was around $126,080 (October 2025). The market remains sharply divided on the outlook.
