According to data from the General Administration of Customs compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in May 2026, the total import and export value of automobile commodities was $29.46 billion, a month-on-month increase of 4.9% and a year-on-year increase of 17.6%. Among them, the import value was $3.61 billion, a month-on-month increase of 21.1% and a year-on-year decrease of 17.7%; the export value was $25.85 billion, a month-on-month increase of 2.9% and a year-on-year increase of 25.0%. From January to May 2026, the cumulative total import and export value of national automobile commodities was $132.92 billion, a year-on-year increase of 23.4%.
