Wu Says, according to CCTV News, the Shanghai Baoshan District Procuratorate recently disclosed a telecom fraud case. The defendant Huang (born in 2000) illegally crossed the border to Myawaddy, Myanmar in October 2022 to participate in fraud after believing in "overseas high-salary recruitment" information. He induced victims to invest in cryptocurrencies through fake identities to carry out "pig butchering" scams. In March 2025, Huang was repatriated to China, but while on bail pending trial, he illegally crossed the border again to Cambodia to engage in related criminal activities until he fled back to China in January 2026. After trial, the Shanghai Baoshan District Court sentenced Huang to two years and six months in prison for fraud on June 10, 2026, and imposed a fine of 30,000 RMB.

Sentenced to two and a half years and fined 30,000, feels light.

A person born after 2000 was tricked into going to Myanmar to run a pig-butchering scam, and during the period of release on bail, they dared to run to Cambodia again. Their audacity is truly great.
