Major County Sheriffs' Association of the U.S. Shifts to Neutral Stance on Clarity Act

On July 4, former Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett reported that the Major County Sheriffs' Association (MCSA) has adjusted its position on the Clarity Act to 'neutral' after 'ongoing discussions in recent days' regarding certain provisions of Section 604 of the Act. In a letter to Senate banking leaders, MCSA stated that based on its ongoing review of the legislation, there remains an opportunity to 'further strengthen legislation to support responsible innovation and the practical needs of state and local law enforcement.'
