Yesterday, I had a long afternoon chat with a friend who specializes in shorting, and I gained a lot.
He initially entered with 2000U and grew it to 82000U in just over a year.
It's not luck; he's playing with probability.
Because 99% of coins pump and then crash; only about 1 in 100 can stay strong like $LAB .
His strategy is very clear.
In terms of coin selection, he looks for coins that have had massive trading volume for several consecutive days and have multiplied in price several times, then shorts them.
For money management, he divides his capital into 30 parts, and for each coin he trades, he risks at most one part. The maximum loss is that one part. Once it's lost, he cuts that coin and never hesitates.
In terms of specific operations, he uses one part with 2x leverage to open a position, which is equivalent to setting a stop loss at a 50% price increase and a take profit at a 50% price decrease, giving a very favorable risk-reward ratio.
In terms of mindset, he said something that left a deep impression on me: "You can't buy at the lowest point or sell at the highest point. You have to accept losses calmly. It's normal to have several consecutive stop-losses. Without patience, you simply can't play this game."

He also touched LAB. He shorted at $4 with a stop loss at $6, and then never touched it again.
He said once a coin triggers a stop loss, abandon it completely and don't look back.
He has always been rolling with compounding interest, continuously dividing his capital into 30 parts and cycling through them.
He also said there is fundamentally no distinction between mainstream coins and altcoins. Mainstream coins just have a longer pump-and-dump cycle, while altcoins have a shorter one, but the essence is the same.
The key is the timing of entry; you need to comprehensively judge signals such as trading volume, hype, and long-short ratio.

This logic is quite solid. Shorting is harder than longing in terms of mindset. There are indeed not many people who can endure consecutive stop-losses and still execute strictly.
