Indian government: investigating iPhone information leak

Krishnan, Secretary of India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, said on the 2nd that the government is investigating the massive data breach at Tata Electronics. This is also the first time the Indian government has spoken out on the incident. Krishnan said: "We are investigating." According to him, the incident has been reported to the Computer Emergency Response Team, the subordinate agency responsible for India's cybersecurity. Tata Electronics is a parts supplier for Apple and one of the main contract manufacturers for iPhones in India. It is reported that a group recently stole a large amount of undisclosed confidential data from Tata Electronics and uploaded it to the dark web, including supply chain information for the unreleased iPhone 18 Pro components and model testing materials, among other things.
