According to Cointelegraph reports, the Major County Sheriffs of America (MCSA) has withdrawn its opposition to the CLARITY Act and shifted to a neutral stance.

MCSA stated that concerns previously raised regarding Section 604 of the bill have been partially addressed.
This section pertains to the Blockchain Regulatory Certainty Act, which primarily provides liability exemptions for blockchain developers and service providers, shielding them from responsibility for illegal actions by users on decentralized platforms.
MCSA had previously worried that this provision could be exploited by criminals, weakening law enforcement's ability to investigate crypto crimes.
The association also expressed hope that the bill would further amend Section 309 to include state-level law enforcement in research related to DeFi and illicit financial risks.
