Meta's first-mover agent progress has fallen short of expectations. In the past couple of days, Alibaba also removed its agent services. Perhaps they feel that if AI hasn't reached AGI, it's not very meaningful to invest heavily in agent research, because ultimately, it's the AI that does the work. Once AGI is achieved, everything will automatically become agents. When AGI emerges, AGI can develop agents.
