BlockBeats news, July 4th, analog chip giant Analog Devices sent a formal letter to customers, stating that due to a comprehensive and significant increase in semiconductor demand and continued tight supply, the lead times for some product portfolios have been extended to up to six months. ADI recommends that customers place orders through channel partners at least six months in advance and extend their order backlog coverage accordingly.

Critini Research analyst Jukan said this is an important signal of recovery in the semiconductor industry. Previously, market focus was concentrated on the shortage of AI training chips and HBM memory. The extension of analog chip lead times indicates that demand recovery is spreading from AI to broader end markets such as industrial and automotive, and the supply chain tightness is shifting from digital chips to analog chips.
