Deep Tide TechFlow news, July 4th, according to The EastAfrican, Visa is conducting a pilot project with mobile money platform and cross-border payment company Onafriq in the Democratic Republic of Congo, exploring the use of stablecoins for mobile money top-up settlement to reduce friction in multi-currency cross-border transactions. Visa stated that stablecoins could potentially be used to address cost and efficiency issues in cross-border payments, remittances, and B2B payments in Africa.
