Here’s a heart-wrenching truth: I’m not using L2 anymore because it’s cheap—I genuinely don’t dare to click “confirm” on the mainnet. Last week I casually transferred an NFT, and the gas jumped to $80. My hand hovered over the mouse for five seconds, and in the end I shut the page and went to get a glass of water.

But L2 isn’t much better either. Some chains are cheap, sure—but a bridge transaction takes half an hour, and the dApp constantly throws errors. So I’ve settled on a habit: for big amounts or anything that isn’t urgent, I toss it on the mainnet as “cold storage.” For everyday interactions, I pick an L2 and stick with it until the end. No matter how you switch, the little fee savings can’t make up for the mental strain.

Recently I’ve been seeing people arguing fiercely in groups about privacy coins—some are afraid of regulatory compliance, others are afraid of ending up completely exposed. For my part, I think… for ordinary people, simply not pasting your address everywhere is better than anything. That’s it for now.
