According to an official announcement from Moonbeam, the Moonbeam Network will relaunch on Base and fully migrate GLMR tokens to Base. At the same time, it plans to launch a new Moonbeam Protocol, positioned as a decentralized communication and settlement network for AI Agents. The announcement states that existing GLMR holders need to bridge their tokens from the Moonbeam parachain to Base by July 31, 2026, with a migration ratio of 1:1. Each existing GLMR will correspond to one ERC-20 GLMR on Base. Moonbeam also reminds users to withdraw funds from liquidity, lending, staking, and other DeFi protocols on the Moonbeam chain before bridging; if assets remain in on-chain protocols after the chain ceases operation, they may become inaccessible. If users hold GLMR through centralized exchanges, no action is needed for now; the exchanges will handle the migration automatically.
