Abstract generation in progress
According to the official announcement from Moonbeam, the Moonbeam Network will relaunch on Base and fully migrate GLMR tokens to Base, while planning to launch a new Moonbeam Protocol, positioned as a decentralized communication and settlement network for AI Agents. The announcement states that existing GLMR holders need to bridge their tokens from the Moonbeam parachain to Base before July 31, 2026, at a 1:1 migration ratio, with each existing GLMR corresponding to one ERC-20 GLMR on Base. Moonbeam also reminds users to withdraw funds from liquidity, lending, staking, and other DeFi protocols on the Moonbeam chain before bridging; if assets remain in on-chain protocols after the chain ceases operation, they may become inaccessible. If users hold GLMR through centralized exchanges, no action is required for now, as the exchanges will handle the migration automatically.

AI Agent + decentralized communication network—this narrative is indeed “sexy” in 2025, and Base’s ecosystem traffic can also bring a wave of new users.

CEX users can just lie back and wait for automatic migration, but on-chain players have to do it themselves. The 1:1 ratio without dilution is a positive.
